About The Team
We are a non-traditional High School team that plays in the WNYHSCHL. Our focus moving forward is to primarily roster players who are either home schooled or who aren’t affiliated with a High School program. We are also looking to prep younger players for their High School Varsity teams, who might not have a JV team to play on. 8th-12th graders are eligible, however 8th graders will need to take and pass the APP test. This season we are playing 17 league games and a Christmas tournament in Buffalo.

Matt Dwyer – Head Coach
Matthew Dwyer is a Level 4 USA Hockey certified youth hockey coach in Rochester, New York. He is also involved with the Rochester Aces.
- Coaching Philosophy: Focuses on creating a safe and fun environment for development and ensuring support for USA Hockey’s Code of Conduct. His philosophy aims to help each player reach their potential both on and off the ice.
- Coaching Roles: Head Coach of Team Rochester (2024-present), Coach for Rochester Aces (2023-present), Head Coach of various Webster Youth Hockey teams, including U11 Peewee Minor (2018-2019), Squirt Major Travel (2017-2018), Squirt Minor Travel (2016-2017), RWB teams (2014-2016), Peewee Select (practices only, 2010-2011), Mite Major (2009-2010), and Peewee Mixed (2008-2009). Assistant Coach for Tri-County Bantam Minor (2010-2011) and Head Coach for the University of Rochester Women’s Club Hockey Team (2010-2013).
- Accolades: Named Webster Youth Hockey Coach of the Year in 2016-2017.
- Playing Career: Played for Rochester Youth Hockey (1985-1990) and Tri-County Youth Hockey (1991-1993).

Joe Kress
Joe Kress is a Level 4 USA Hockey certified coach with over 15 years of experience developing athletes both on and off the ice. A dedicated mentor and lifelong student of the game, Joe has coached at various levels, most notably serving as the assistant coach of the Greece Lightning Varsity team.
As a former captain of the Greece Lightning during his junior and senior years, Joe brings a unique blend of leadership, firsthand playing experience, and tactical knowledge to his coaching style. His passion for the sport and commitment to player development have made him a respected figure in the hockey community.
